To be consistent in logical reasoning:

If as we see in scripture that the new moon day is called the first day of the moon, or month, and the second day is the first of the six working days, or "the first day", then we can see more clearly the placement of the moon in creation week, that this "new moon day" was the day The Spirit brooded over the earth.

We can see this more clearly by counting from conjunction, 24 hours approx. to the beginning of creation week. Then the second day of the moon became the first day of creation week, in which Elohim began His Work of Creation.

In the evening and morning of the fourth day, beginning at sunset of the third day, the moon appeared in the sky, after the sun settled below the horizon. as the darkness became more complete the moon could be seen very clearly, imagine 20% illumination.

Perhaps during the third day the sun evaporated the fog, so that at sunset the moon became visible. Just some specuation.

So the outline appears to be, First day of the moon is the day of the New Moon, or the 24 hour period from sunset to sunset in which conjunction occurs, "bursting the old bottle of wine" or last day of the old moon, making it the New Moon day, as conjunction like the hands of a clock all pointing to 12:00 are in conjunction.

29th day is 4th weekly Sabbath Day, then next is New Moon day, or if it is time to add the extra 30th day, then it would be 29th day Sabbath Day, then 30th day, then New Moon Day, a three day month end and New Moon event, or as some think of it as 29th Sabbath Day, then follows a two day New Moon, with the 30th day thought of as the extra day of the New Moon instead of calling it the 30th.

I have yet to learn about these things as this is still new to me, and I am but learning, but I stick to logic and intelligent sense, as I believe this is what our Creator expects from us, is honesty to logical Truth as we can best perceive it. Logic as per say mathematics, and such as cognitive reasoning to arrive at Truth as well as the Spirits leading, as the still small voice, and quiet meditative reflective thoughts alone in the prayer chamber, and as going to sleep and as awkening from sleep, sometimes our subconscious thoughts surface to our wakeful conscious thinking.
